Farewell.

So long, Orlando..you've been good to me.  I can't even begin to mention all the people I am going to miss because number one, it will take too long and number two, it will just make me sad.  So instead, I  am going to focus this post on all the places and things we will miss about Orlando.

Here it is...  (in no particular order)

#1. The Beach.  C'mon, who doesn't love the beach?  There are like 238,748,935 songs written about being at the beach so you know it must be awesome.  Even with sand all over me and salt water in my eyes, I still love it.  I'm not exactly sure why.. there's jut something about it.
Beach days will definitely be missed.

#2. Publix.  One of my first thoughts after The Dr. read what was in his envelope at Match Day was, "Oh no..I have to leave Publix."  Seriously. I'm not even kidding.  Publix is clean, their brand of food products are delicious...ALL of them, they'll special order anything you ask for, your kid gets a free cookie (or banana) & balloon,  the bag boys happily walk your cart out, and as a special bonus--the produce manager will hit on you even after an hour of power yoga, but maybe that's just MY Publix.

#3.  Being a (very) short drive from The Happiest Place on Earth.  Growing up in Orlando, you tend to take Disney for granted.  But I have to admit, I love the place.  I love the all the smiling people who work there, I love the Carousel of Progress, I love that we can go for just a couple hours if we want, I love watching the fireworks with sand beneath my toes at the Polynesian, and of course....

the tequila bar in Mexico at Epcot. Best. Place. Ever.

Change.

wise words via pinterest

Today marks the beginning of our last week as Floridians.

6 months ago I would've told you adventure is what we're looking for, but now that it's actually here, it's a little more heartbreaking than we  originally thought it would be.  Leaving everything and everyone we know and love is proving to be quite difficult.  But, this is life.

We are embarking on this change with love, strength and a positive outlook.  Yes, the winters will be hard and we will miss our friends and family, but we plan on making the best of the next 3 years.  And living the life that's waiting for us.

Life is about change. Sometimes it's painful. Sometimes it's beautiful.
Most of the time, it's both.

xoxo,
The Mrs.

The Dr, The Mrs, & The Noodle.

Jana Morgan Photography is where it's at!

It occurred to me that I may need to do a little backtracking.  An introduction, if you will.  This is us.  The Dr, The Mrs, & The Noodle.

Poor quality photo, but amazing day.
This is us 10 days ago.  The day The Dr became The Dr, M.D.

This is us 7 months ago.  The Day I became The Mrs.

And this is The Dr 2 months ago when we found out he would be completing his residency in Pittsburgh!  I love the raw look of nerve-racking excitement on his face..  It was an emotional day.

That is us.  Just a little family looking forward to the rest of our lives.

Thankful.

This blog was created a few months ago, but being the indecisive person I am I was having trouble deciding on an inaugural blog post.  Then this weekend happened.  This weekend was fabulously fantastic and will forever stand out in my mind as one of the best.  It was spent doing what I love with people I'm crazy about.  After some encouragement from a few of the best girls I know, I knew what I had to write.  A thank you letter.

Thank you to all the amazing people in our life.  To all of you who came out to show your love & support for The Dr. and I at our Going Away party, thank you.  Especially to the many of you who traveled so far to be there with us.  (Robbie, I think you take the cake on this)  A HUGE thank you to our parents who made this party possible.  Thank you everyone who made food, Stephen our DJ, Jen for the wonderful video montage.  Thank you to my besties for getting pedicures and eating hummus with me.  Thank you to the Cruz family for always knowing the perfect gifts.  Thank you to Chrisie for an awesome Saturday morning.  Thank you to my Sunday Funday partners-in-crime and to ALL of you for inspiring us, making us laugh, and providing so much encouragement for our impending move.  You make our life better.  If we haven't told you recently, we love each and every one of you!

Thank you.

xoxo,
The Mrs.
